This challenge is part of Interspeech 2016 and is organized as a special session under the title

7.18 Special Session: Singing Synthesis Challenge: Fill-In the Gap

Contributions to this special session should be submitted via the standard paper submission procedure indicating the contribution to the special session 7.18. For detailed information on the submission procedures please see http://www.interspeech2016.org/

The review process is the same as for all other submissions as far as assessed quality of papers is concerned.

For authors that participate in the singing synthesis challenge, the audio material, notably the synthesised singing, should be submitted via the InterSpeech media submission system. A minimum contribution is the a cappella version of the synthesis of one of the songs provided under the section on singing context materiel. The language is free, but only French and English lyrics are given. For other languages, the French or English lyrics can be translated. Optionally, a mix with the selected accompaniment can be provided. In case the submission will be selected for playing during the InterSpeech social events the accompanied version could then be used.
